I dont agree with bartg. This is not CGI from Avatar where everything is perfect and calculated by a computer. This is simply the artwork made by hand using a computer. Even if they are here any underdeveloped details this work deserves the highest mark for the whole.
About the light:
Bartq if you do something like that with the woman on the beach and use additional light on the left side maybe you get similar effect and maybe more natural. I hope the end result will be good as that one is.
very good first impression, I like the way the sheets go out of the picture, I'm not really sure about the water, Is it real?? I think it's made from another picture, however it does make a very nice addition to the sceen... I think there's something wrong with his left leg, however the entire picture looks nice.

jeżeli takie zdjęcie uznawane jest za mistrzostwo, to przeraza mnie trochę, w jakim kierunku podąża fotografia portretowa....
I don't like the way of composing background layer with the model layer - first they are diferently lightened, the second thing is the way that feets are merged with water - it should be done much better...
I'm wondering about model's "masculinity" masking - if I would do something like that with woman, people will write about it as a weakness of the photo...
I don't like this one - for me it looks pretty unfinished.
Anhro - I always try to imagine big print - eg 100/70 cm - what would You say then?

In that picture everything going to excellence - why I should close my eyes and forget details that doesn't match that? I won't change my mind - when You try to reach the quality limits You have to do everything as close to "perfect" as You can.
You know what I'm thinking about masking men's peripherials - we took that discussion at different occasion.

It's unfortunate, while some of the comments may be accurate, that people don't realize you can't dissect art.. It's an emotional organic thing... even if it's contrived.. and I've heard the word Kitsch before... never understood that but I guess it's something people see in my work. I don't really care... I just do what I feel and what brings me joy... if the viewer enjoys it... that's nice, but it's not necessarily my goal. (:
